Trekking Around Citlaltépetl

This volcano is located near the Atlantic Ocean. The east side - the area towards the Gulf of Mexico - receives more humidity and rain, prevailing a tropical, and diverse flora. In the west side, the environment is more arid with some desertic areas, tundra, pine and oak trees. In a very short distance, you will notice a very different environment of flora and scenery .
